Shock News from British Consulate, Beijing

** Warning, some pictures you are about to see are not for the feint hearted and do contain disturbing images **

Following a very exhilarating and active day, it is with great distress we have to report our fellow Trekker, Puppy, has been puppynapped from outside our hotel. It is believed Puppy was bathing in the hotel bar at the time whilst the rest of his commandants slept upstairs.

At around 2pm local time, we received a ransom note from an organisation known as the Chinese PLA (Puppy Liberation Army) demanding 1000Yen for the safe return of Puppy.

Earlier in the day Puppy had accompanied the group for some glacier climbing followed by white water rafting before scaling the massive Zhentan Temple.

Local hostage negotiator Li PengFei has managed to speak to Puppy and after forwarding an Advance Ransom of a 300Yen the hostage takers have released images to reassure us Puppy is safe and well.

The puppynappers have given us until the end of the Trek, Saturday, to raise the full 1000Yen to ensure his release and allow Puppy to travel back to Scotland with us safely.

After raising the initial 300Yen ourselves we need the support of our friends and family back home to ensure Puppy's safe return!

So, please, please, please give generously to ensure Puppy’s continued safety.

To help, simply visit Puppy's Justgiving Page (http://www.justgiving.com/puppytrek) and help us achieve the 1000Yen randsom sum ... and of course.... help us support the great work of everyone at the Ayrshire Hospice for the next 20 years.

Your continued support is most appreciated.

McDonalds in China... and how confident are you that your burgers were 100% beef?! Oh no... Puppy?!

I'm sure Puppy will be just fine... between all the tigers, monkeys & snakes in the group he was probably in the middle of doing a runner when he was puppy-napped! Have you checked under the beds of those who don't snore? ;-)

Keep up the good work & remember "Be Vey Cayefull".

Safe home to you all.

Chris & all your colleagues - what an amazing journey you have been on - well done to all of you!
It is now nearly the start of the weekend here and there is a big party on at Seamill - been told not to bring food or drink as there will be plenty. I believe there will be a champagne reception to start followed by a free bar for the rest of the evening. Food will be plentiful and all taxi fares sent to Microtech?

1000 YEN to save Puppy?

I'll give the hostage takers 2000 YEN if they swap Puppy for Chris and I'll increase that to 20,000 YEN if they keep him for 6 months!

Hi Chris, Party going well. 5 bottles of "Haton" consumed. A dribble of bacardi and no vodka left (you know what dizzy is like). Baileys cracked as we speak. Stove a mess with lasagne. Sticky toffee fab. Last time we checked Caitlin and Nicole were sleeping(we think).Chippendales have just left. We are having a ball. Wish you were here.xxxx

PLA should surely have been liberating Puppy not torturing him! Mind you on the street of China we don't rate his freedom chances either. We think the Puppynappers are fakes & instead by now have recinded & sent him (business class)to the sunny South of France to recuperate away from you lot! Sly dog!

We think Puppy trying to raise ticket money back to the arms of the person who loves him. Who could blame him! Smelly feet & the snoring, snoRING...did we say SNORING! Yes Dad it's been quiet!

We think you worth it Puppy so have sent you some money to help.

Proud of you Dad.

Hi Puppy,

I hope your puppynappers let you read your mail !!

I also hope this message gets to you before the 'deadline' expires....not sure what the time difference is between where you are & where I live in Calgary in Canada !!

Anyway I am 'rounding up' donations from 'friends'to help towards your release so that you can get on the plane with the rest of the gang !!

Keep thinking positive thoughts & of playing on the beach at Troon !!

Lots of Woofs
